The Fashion Commentator at IED

The Fashion Commentator gave a masterclass in fashion blogging in Rome.
Actually, I was comfortably sitting in front of my computer in Florence, but thanks to Skype in a few minutes I was on the big screen of a IED (Istituto Europeo di Design) Master course in Rome.

But let me explain…

Thanks to Alessia Caliendo, visionary stylist, professor and friend, last Saturday I had the pleasure of taking part to her lesson dedicated to fashion blogging at the IED Master Course in Styling for Fashion and Entertainment coordinated by the professor of Costume and Fashion History, Bonizza Giordani Aragno.

The annual Master course provides a complete preparation mainly focused on styling for the entertainment industry and in addition to fascinating topics like the relationships and dynamics between stylists and directors, students can get in touch with all those professionals involved in the fashion communication field, including press offices, PR agencies, journalists and bloggers.

IED ROMA MASTER - STYLING

Having to trace the history of fashion-blogging from its origins to nowadays, Alessia selected the best-known names interested in fashion research including StyleBubble, Diane Pernet and The Sartorialist, and when she spoke about the Italian fashion blogging scene she included also TheFashionCommentator.com. It has been a real honour for me and after being analyzed as a real case study, I had the pleasure of sharing with the students my experiences, projects, anecdotes, but also the difficulties I find everyday for making good communication about fashion culture in Italy.

This type of special interview/lesson has been a moment of personal enhancement for both sides and I hope to meet soon all the students on the occasion of Pitti Immagine or AltaRoma.

Special thanks to Prof. Bonizza Giordani Aragno, IED Roma and Alessia Caliendo.
