On July 21st in the exclusive location of the Circolo Canottieri of Florence (Florentine rowing club) there has been the Bisbigli Summer 2014 beachwear shows, in conjunction with the closure of the largest Italian fashion fair dedicated to swimwear called Mare d’Amare.
Under the eyes of onlookers and tourists who stuck out from the terrace overlooking the Arno river, the Linclalor group, which operates in the knitwear field for over 50 years, entertained its guests in one of the most exclusive Florentine clubs with the Bisbigli beachwear and nightwear lines fashion show and the performance by Grey “The Mime”.
The evening begins with a spectacular sunset on Ponte Vecchio with a pleasant cocktail with some blogger-friends, then, as soon as the sun went down, a suspense music captured the attention of all the guests and passers. An ancient boat of sand diggers in the center of the Arno river is carrying three models and Grey “The Mime”, the show is about to start.
Once the boat docked, the Miss Bisbigli catwalk gets colored with fuchsia, yellow, neon green and turquoise shades, an a lot of orange (the real protagonist of the next summer) declined on bands, triangles and briefs of various fit.
The use of color is one of the main feature for all the collections presented in the show: the Henéjolie palette is made of cool colors such as amethyst, aquamarine and green declined on floral 50s-like textures embellished with Burano embroidery and crystal applications; the H.J.T. brand palette is characterized by lilac, yellow, ancient rose, apricot and geranium shades which evoke the sunsets on the beach; but there’s also the classic navy blue color declined on the H.J.T. male line.
The inspiration of nature is another common theme for all the collections especiall if we consider the tapestry floral patterns, the paisley motifs and the printed palm trees with tropical fruits.
The show ends with the Bisbigli Lounge line, designed for a refined woman who winks to retro style, maybe while sipping a drink in her cocktail dress with sinous flounces along the silhouette. Needless to say, these are my favorite dresses, especially for the quality of the cotton jersey which looks like sophisticated and flowing silk, revealing all the 50 years of experience in the textile field of the Linclalor group.
