As everyone knows, or should know, the highly skilled artisan labour is one of the main riches of Italy that the whole world envies us. Never as this year it seemed that many fashion designers – among which Ermanno Scervino – wanted to claim the record on this field, proposing extremely luxurious garments, characterized by such elaborate handmade works that they could be hardly considered as simple ready-to-wear clothes.

The Ermanno Scervino fall winter 2014 fashion show opened with lightweight slip dresses whose sensuality was emphasized by lace overlays that remembered the old pictures of the Hollywood stars wrapped in their opulent furs, reinterpreted as unstructured soft sheepskin and leoprinted coats. The powder and golden silks, give way to blue sky floral lace shirts and sheath dresses, that stand out under wool jackets and coats, revealing only a small part of the femme fatale identity.

The knitwear is declined in oversized turtlenecks, long cardigan-coats or funny French knickers, ideal pieces for the casual daywear that can be more strong if matched with tougher items such as the sheepskin lined laced boots and the furry cap. This rock-chic spirit pervades the evening wardrobe covering the coats and the minidresses with micro-studs reproducing the squared tartan pattern on the delicate shades of cream, mint and nude.
Speaking of luxury we can not miss the furs, Scervino revisited them in so many forms: as an oversized argyle sweater, on mini-skirts, on the rounded borders of coats and finally on the precious satin parkas, a sort of boho-chic evolution of the down jackets that marked the success of the brand since its debut.
The fashion show ended with the triumph of the tuxedo shirt, the elegant androgynous item made sensual by a big bow at the neck and a high waist black pants that seem to wave at every step.
