Questa sera a New York con il gran Costume Institute Gala Benefit al MET sarà presentata la retrospettiva dedicata all’attività di Alexander McQueen. Savage Beauty ripercorre le tappe creative fondamentali della carriera stilistica dell’ hooligan della moda attraverso i modelli più celebri corredati di storie e aneddoti, ma soprattutto filmati che renderanno vita ai vestiti, riproponendoli nel loro contesto per cui erano pensati: il fashion show. In questo momento inoltre la famosa ereditiera Daphne Guinness, la più grande e avida collezionista di abiti di Alexander McQueen (è stata lei infatti che ha acquistato l’intera collezione di abiti appartenuti a Isabella Blow ancora prima che l’ex marito li mettesse all’asta) sta facendo parte di una istallazione vivente nelle vetrine di Barney’s dove si sta preparando per il gran gala di stasera.

In this moment, in NYC, the famous heiress Daphne Guinness, the biggest and avid collector of Alexander McQueen clothes (she bought the entire collection belonged to Isabella Blow before her husband put it ip for auction) is part of a living installation in the windows of Barney‘s, where she is preparing for this evening gala.

McQueen is crazy! not his anymore but I mean their designs are so extraordinary
and I just realize that you are actually an architecture student? how is it? is it hard? thinking of taking architecture or fashion design next year!
