Elena Cristina Toma, rumena, classe
1978, è la shoe-designer emergente del brand Toma. Nel 1998 si è
trasferita a Milano per iniziare gli studi in fashion design
all’Istituto Burgo, e successivamente ha assistito per più di sei
anni Mariuccia Mandelli alla prima linea della maison Krizia. In quel
periodo ha maturato la scelta di voler realizzare qualcosa di
realmente suo e che rispondesse alle tre caratteristiche fondamentali
della scarpa dei sogni: bellezza, eleganza e comodità. E’ così che
nel 2008, dopo ulteriori studi dedicati all’imprenditoria e al
marketing, nasce il marchio di calzature TOMA.

Le calzature Toma sono raffinate e si
distinguono per la preziosità dei pellami esotici e l’ottima fattura
artigianale esclusivamente italiana, sono infatti realizzate nel
famosissimo distretto calzaturiero di Parabiago, nel Milanese. Altro
elemento fondante dello stile Toma è l’uso del colore, ispirato ai
contrasti cromatici presenti in natura: acqua e scogli, roccia e
muschio, terra ed ossido, legno e foglie.

Perenni punti di riferimento nell’iter
creativo di Elena Cristina Toma sono artisti rumeni come lo scultore
Constantin Brancusi o l’illustratore Saul Steinberg, ma la nuova
collezione Primavera Estate 2012 trae ispirazione dalla corrente
artistica dell’impressionismo con i suoi rapidi colpi di colore e
le pennellate che creano linee emozionali uniformi e irregolari.

The Romanian sculptor Constantin Brancusi or the illustrator Saul Steinberg are a perennial reference for Elena Cristina Toma, but the new Spring Summer 2012 collection is inspired by the Impressionists with their rapid strokes of color and the brush strokes that create emotional lines.
The palette recalls the nature and its captivating contrasts: magenta, green, powder pink, pearl pink, orange terra-cotta, teal, gold, purple, blue and rock, all declined in precious materials like lizard, crocodile, python, suede and satin.

Fantastiche, adoro principalmente le scarpe maschili, veramente eleganti e con quel tocco un più!
Anche io credo che quelle maschili rendano di più, non trovi?
E’ strano ma per la prima volta si pensa più al gusto maschile, finalmente direi.
