A distanza di un anno dall’affaire Galliano la settimana della moda parigina è stata occasione di conferme e smentite per gli spostamenti dei creative director delle varie maison. Dopo la dipartita di Raf Simons ed il ritorno di Jil Sander al proprio brand, gli ingranaggi del fashion system hanno iniziato a muoversi: Stefano Pilati ha lasciato Yves Saint Laurent ed Hedi Slimane (ex-Dior Homme) ha preso il suo posto. E da Dior cosa succederà? Stefano Pilati dove andrà? Come al solito dobbiamo ancora aspettare.
After one year from the Galliano affaire, the Parisian fashion week has been the confirmation for the moving of several creative directors. After the departure of Raf Simons and the return of Jil Sander at her own brand, the gears of the fashion industry began to move: Stefano Pilati left Yves Saint Laurent and Hedi Slimane (ex-Dior Homme) took his place. What will happen at Dior? Where will Stefano Pilati go? As usual, we have to wait to know the next moves.
Intanto al Museo delle Arti decorative di Parigi fino al 16 Settembre sarà visitabile la mostra dedicata al 15esimo anniversario di attività di Marc Jacobs per Louis Vuitton mettendo a confronto i due protagonisti della maison: il fondatore e il suo direttore artistico dal 1997.
Meanwhile, the Museum of Decorative Arts in Paris until September 16 will host the exhibition dedicated to 15th anniversary of Marc Jacobs at Louis Vuitton. An interesting comparison between the two protagonists of the fashion house: the ancient founder and the artistic director since 1997.
In casa Lanvin invece si è festeggiato il 10 anno da direttore creativo di Alber Elbaz celebrando con la pubblicazione di una monografia e una mini live performance dello stesso Elbaz a fine sfilata sulle note di “Que Sera, Sera (Whatever Will Be, Will Be)”.
Another important event has been celebrated during this fashion week: The 10th year of Alber Elbaz as creative director of Lanvin. For the occasion has been published a luxury monograph with 3000 photos dedicated to the creative process of every collection of the designer at Lanvin. The celebrations ended with a mini-live-performance of Elbaz himself singing “Que Sera, Sera (Whatever Will Be, Will Be) ” after the final runway of the show.

Primo trend in assoluto, il ritorno dellaSILHOUETTE A CLESSIDRA: dopo anni di stratificazioni e capi oversize che avvolgevano e coprivano il corpo è tornata l’esaltazione di seno e fianchi.
The HOURGLASS SILHOUETTE is absolutely the first important trend. After years of layering and oversized items wrapped around the body it seems to come back to the exaltation of the curves.
Mantenendosi su questa tendenza sono tornati (ma in realtà mai scomparsi del tutto) i MAXI CINTURONI stretti in vita. Si passa dalla versione minimal di Dior e Yves Saint Laurent, alle forme plastiche di Haider Ackermann, fino alle cinture gioiello di Giambattista Valli e di Alexander McQueen che sembrano ispirate alle armi barbariche.
Being on the same wavelength with the hourglass trend, the MAXI HIGH WAISTED BELTS are back. From the minimal version of Dior and Yves Saint Laurent, passing to the plastic forms of Haider Ackermann, up to the jewel belts by Giambattista Valli or the ones by Alexander McQueen that seem to be inspired by ancient weapons.
PANTALONI A VITA ALTA che in alcuni casi arrivano addirittura sotto il seno. Il tessuto cade morbido e fluttua ad ogni passo ricreando un misto effetto tra “Le mille e una notte” e gli anni ’70, mentre a volte come per Mugler o Anthony Vaccarello è in versione slim per valorizzare i fianchi e focalizzare l’attenzione sulla parte superiore.
HIGH WAISTED PANTS, in some cases even below the breast. The soft fabrics fluctuate at each step recreating a mixed effect from the “Arabian Nights” and the ’70s. Mugler and Anthony Vaccarello propose a more tight version enhancing the hips and focusing on the top.
MIX AND MATCH: autentici collage materici e cromatici che sembrano citare l’armonico astrattismo di Kandinsky o il genio ribelle di Basquiat.

PELLICCE in tutte le gradazioni cromatiche possibili, ma soprattutto di ogni forma: dalla cappa al cappotto destrutturato, se non addirittura frammentato in colli e maniche; passando per il gilet da portare sotto il giaccone, fino al grande lavoro di intarsi di Viktor e Rolf.
FUR in every possible color gradation and shape: from the capes to the de-structured coats or with only stole and sleeves; passing by the vest, worn under the wool coat; until the great inlaying work by Viktor and Rolf.
RICAMI E APPLICAZIONI – Non un vero e proprio trend, ma splendide lavorazioni, intagli e applicazioni che sembrano fare il verso ai tappeti Aubusson del XVII secolo (Balmain, Valentino) e ai rosoni delle chiese gotiche (Carven, McQueen).
EMBROIDERY – Not a real trend, but wonderful work of carvings and applications that seem to be inspired by the Aubusson carpets of the seventeenth century (Balmain, Valentino), and by the rose windows of the Gothic churches (Carven, McQueen).

Parigi è stata fantastica!! La mia sfilata preferita è stata Commes des GarçOns…l’ho trovata una delle più creative 😉

Spero che Pilati non vada da Dior. Mi ha sconvolto la sua partenza… era davvero un ottimo direttore creativo per YSL.

Prima cosa che devo dirti (nuovamente): SEI BRAVISSIMO.
Poi, sono moooolto curiosa di sapere dove andranno Simons e Pilati. Sui nuovi trends sono piuttosto scettica, non sono sicura che avranno “presa” nel mondo “normale”, trovo che i ricami, il cinturone, la pelliccia non siano mettibili al supermercato, in ufficio, per andare a prendere i figli a scuola e nemmeno nei ristoranti o nei locali. Non mi sembra che sia una moda pratica e fruibile da un pubblico diverso dai soliti fashionisti. Non so, forse mi sbaglio.
che meraviglia trovare un blog con il punto di vista maschile della moda e dello stile. Ti seguo su Twitter.
