“The three stripes of diamonds that make up the necklace, symbolize ours family dedication to work. Once closed the necklace, the Damiani Chakra get together, reassembling the main circle as in the Oriental philosophy that inspired the jewel.” With these few words Silvia Damiani, Vice-chairman of Damiani SpA, describes the jewel which won the Diamonds Trading Company – Power of Love Award in 2003, and that she officially donated to the Museo degli Argenti of Florence to celebrate the closing of the exhibition “Damiani, 90 Years of Excellence and Passion” held form June to September in Palazzo Pitti.

Jewels, since their appearance among the ancient civilizations, were considered as a status symbol of the persons who wore them, but nowadays thanks to the great diffusion of bijoux made with poor and non-precious materials, they paradoxically seem to have an added value. They still are status symbols, but can also be considered as the full expression of our personality. The Italian jewel designer chose once again the Nature theme, enclosing nuts and dried orange segments into the resin and mounting them on gold sheets modeled as realistic shells or peels. As usual, Delfina made ironic jewels that fully reflect her personal neo-surrealist vision.
